Good news!!!
Starting January 2020, all of our economy shipping crates are delivered painted in latex exterior paint. This paint is adding a layer of protection against humidity. As before the economy crate model, made out of Speedy Crate's special plastic extrusions, 3/4" plywood base, and 1/2" OSB (Oriented Strand Board) sides and top.
Here is a photo of the upgraded economy crates.
This crate is delivered to the customer folded to save on shipping cost. Assembly time for the customer is less than 5 minutes.
